School Programs

The school day for all MCS students is 9:00 – 3:00.

Early Childhood

Creative, community-oriented program for pre-school and kindergarten aged children (3 - 6 years old). Children must be 3 by 9/30 of the school year enrolling. Early Childhood students may be enrolled on full-week (Mon. – Fri.) or part-week schedules (Mon/Wed/Fri or TTH.)

Lower School
Multi-age program serving children kindergarten-through third-grade age (5 -9). Individualized curriculum emphasizing thorough understanding of skills, rich use of creative and performing arts, outdoor and physical education, and connections to the Missoula community. Enrollment Monday - Friday is required for children of first-grade-age and up.

Upper School
(to be established by 2006) Continuous-progress, multi-age progressive education for older elementary students (ages 9- 12).

The Community School also offers extended care before (7:45 - 9:00) and after (3:00 - 5:30) the school day.

Summer Programs for children ages 3 - 10 available on a weekly basis Monday - Friday from mid-June to mid-August.
