The Missoula Community School offers school year and summer programs for children ages 3 - 7. MCS is a creative, nurturing learning place for children and a welcoming, collaborative place for parents and families.

Interpersonal skills and communication are the heart of MCS. Children form close relationships with teachers and with peers, building a nurturing environment for children to take risks, challenge themselves and build self-confidence.

MCS is wait-listing 4-year olds and Kindergarten/First Grade students for the last potential openings in these two age groups. All other Early Childhood classes are now full, but we would be happy to add your child to our waiting list should an opening become available mid-year. Please contact the school office at (406) 542-2833 for more information or to schedule a tour.

MCS Welcomes Linn Veen As Our New Director!

Earlier this summer, MCS conducted a search for a new director to consolidate the positions held by Donna Maddux and Grace Decker during the 2007-2008 school year. We were fortunate to have a very strong field of candidates to consider. And were delighted that our first choice, Linn Veen, has joined us. Linn comes to us most recently from Missoula Head Start. Previously, she was director of Purdue University's Childcare Program. Linn is very excited about helping MCS carry on its mission to help children develop emotional intelligence, and is looking forward to collaborating with the teaching staff to build up the school's community-centered curriculum even further.
