Enrollment at the Missoula Community School

Visiting the school

If you would like to find out more about how the Community School, we recommend that you visit during school hours. Visits are scheduled most mornings at 9:30, with the exception of Sports days when the children will be away from the school. During your visit you will first meet with the director to discuss our programs and have any questions answered, and then enter the classrooms to observe and get a feel for our philosophy and practices. We recommend making a first visit without your child, to more easily be able to view the classroom through adult eyes and ask all the questions you'd like. If you then wish to schedule a second visit with your child we are more than happy to do so.

Enrolling your child

The enrollment process at MCS begins with in-house re-enrollment during the month of January. In February, enrollment is opened to families who have placed their child on a wait list. New enrollments are accepted after that point if space is available. The Missoula Community School does not require an application or interview for new enrollments; children are enrolled on a first-come, first-served basis.
